Partners: The project involves nine entities from eight member states and candidate countries. The most representative employer´s and employees´ organizations of the commerce sector in their countries.

Project objectives:

• Raising workers and employers’ awareness about the European legislation on information, consultation and participation of workers in the decision making of companies.
• Enhance social dialogue and mutual trust among employees and employers in one of the fastest growing sectors in Europe.
• Increase cooperation of EU member states and candidate countries in terms of correct realization of EC directives by both sides: employees and employers, realization of gained recommendations and implementation of new approaches.

Project results:

1. Good practices detected on the implementation of the rights to information, consultation and participation of workers in the decision-making process of companies.
2. Development of a training course whose objective is to improve the knowledge and skills of workers in the commerce sector about rights of information, consultation and participation of workers in the decision making of companies.
3. International seminar for the exchange of experiences in which will participate experts at European and national level.

Preparation of a strategy for the correct application of European directives on the subject, which includes the best practices detected.
